The Learning Garden Preschool is a CT state licensed centers that offers a nurturing, play-based program that provides children the opportunity to learn through their play. We offer half day and full day programs to meet the needs of all parents in our community.
Children are encouraged to explore their environment in a way that is meaningful to them. Children learn best in a rich, challenging atmosphere that balances child-centered experiences with teacher-guided experiences. Our goal is to provide a warm and nurturing environment that promotes creativity, imagination and independence.
We are sensitive to each child’s unique developmental needs and we strive to create an atmosphere that encourages self confidence and positive self-esteem.
Included in all of our programs are experiences in language arts, social studies, science, math, art, dramatic play, fine and gross motor skill development, as well as music and creative movement. Each of our classrooms has been carefully designed and is well equipped to ensure children's progress and success in these developmental domains. Our staff is qualified and experienced in working with young children. The ratio of children to teacher is kept lower than the licensing standard in order to provide a safe, stimulating and warm environment.
